Ryans in sparkling form in county senior 60x30 final

JOHN RYAN and Padraic Ryan proved too strong for the veterans John Rossiter and Andy Ryan in the 60x30 senior county final played in Garryhill last Saturday night in the first game the two Ryans were on top through out and won 21-12 the second game was a closer encounter but Rossiter and Ryan could never overtake their opponents and with Padraic Ryan serving very well and John Ryan playing some powerful handball around the court they ran out winners 21-14.
Meanwhile next Saturday Carlow will contest three All Ireland finals Michelle Nolan and Shannon Byrne will play Tyrone in the U14D, Martin Mullins will play Ryan Harkin from Cork in U15S both games in Garryhill starting at 12noon.
At Talbots Inch in Kilkenny Andy and Sean Ryan will contest the EMAD against Tipperary's Billy and Packie Mullins at 2pm.
Carlow were represented by two teams in the Leinster semi finals of the Juvenile team of six which was played in Na Fianna Dublin last friday night, our U12/13 team were unlucky to lose to the Royal county by 3 aces overall, Carlow's Damien Jordan and Warren Cooney dft Peter Smith and Lauren Farrelly 15-10 15-5 in the second game Carlow's Jason Curran and Lee Campbell dft Danny Dunne and Daniel Farrelly 15-10 15-13 and in the last game Carlow lost out when Johnny O' Leary and Alan Hosey went down to Johnny McGovern and Robdu Islam 15-7 15-2 .The U14/15 made up for their younger colleagus when they defeated Meath on an overall scoreline of 78-52, cousins Daniel O'Leary and Michael Connors got off to a great start dft Robert Fox and Johnny Reilly 15-3 15-12 unfortunately Jim O'Leary and James O'Leary lost to Evan Sheridan and Cormac Gilsenan 15-13 15-5. at this stage Carlow led by three aces going into the last game and our two younger players came up trumps with a great win over Dylan Sheridan and Coiln McGovern 15-7 15-0
