CARLOW LTC Squash alongside Carlow Sports and Social Club hosted the largest Junior squash open of the season when over 100 young squash players from all over Ireland took part in the Leinster Junior Squash Open.

MEMBERS AND friends of the Carlow Coarse Angling Club descended on the river Barrow system at the weekend and despite the cold weather and rising water levels managed to get bags of fish topping the scales at 50 lb. plus. The bags of fish that are being produced from the Barrow are not being matched anywhere in the Country at the moment.

BRIAN KIRWAN of the St Laurence O'Toole athletics club ran a fantastic tactical race to sensationally overhaul 12-time consecutive winner Pat Byrne in winning his first Carlow Senior Mens Cross Country Championship over 10km in Ballaghmore, Myshall on Sunday last.
