Rossiter cruises to victory in final

Children who took part in a special summer sports camp that focussed exclusively on the game of handball. Up to 30 youngsters, aged from 8 to 13 were put through their paces in Garryhill handball club by coaches PJ and David Donovan.

Leinster Juvenile 60x30: JOHN ROSSITER defeated Gerry McGrath from Wicklow in a one sided Leinster EMAS final played in Talbots Inch last Wednesday night. The Carlow man was never in trouble in this game as he serve the ball with precision and killed some great balls during the match.
Rossiter won the first game 21-2 and continued his dominance in the second game to win 21-4. John can now look forward to his All Ireland semi final in three weeks time.
Five Carlow players travelled to Crinkle Co Offaly last Saturday to take on the home County in U12s, U12D and U13D and the Carlow boys made it a winning excursion.
Damien Jordan (CW) took to the court first in the U12s and he had a comfortable win against Aaron Blake 15-1 and 15-1 in the U12D Johnny O' Leary and Warren Cooney ( CW) defeated Conor Smith and Dylan Quegan 15-13
15-9 the U13D also went to Carlow when Alan Hosey and Jason Curran defeated Jordan Hart and Michael Milne 15-6 15-5. Their next outing will be in the Leinster semi finals at home to Kilkenny.

21-5 21-13 in the Junior BS Danny Deane dft David Townsend 21-7 2115.The Junior A singles saw wins for Martin Mullins and Cian Lawler when they dft Colm Nolan and Kevin Barrett respectively 19-21 21-6 21-9 and 21-3 21-13.
Summer Camp
A large group of Juvenile handballers descended on Garryhill last week to take part in the annual handball summer camp a very enjoyable event was had by all. The Carlow Handball Board would like to thank all who took part and a special thanks to PJ Donavan and Martin Clancy who organised the camp. The juveniles will now travel to Croke Park on Tuesday as part of the the summer camp programme.,
