CONGRATULATIONS to St Laurence O'Toole athletes of all ages attending the Leinster Relay Championships at Nenagh this weekend. Over 40 athletes competed on behalf of O'Toole's in the events with numerous medal winners in all categories.

The Under-12 boys' team gained a Silver medal in their 4 x 100m relay. The Under-12 girls, not to be outdone, also took second place. This theme was continued with the Under-13 boys and Under-14 girls grabbing Silver medals of their own. The boys Under-15 managed a bronze while the Under-14 boys ran well but missed out on a medal.

In the Under-16 and Under-17 age categories, the boys grabbed perfect golds. The girls ran valiantly but unfortunately missed a medal spot.

Simon Doyle took home two gold medals in the Junior Men's competition, one in the Long Jump and one in Multi-events consisting of a Sprint, Long Jump, Shot Putt, 800m race and Hurdles.

In the Junior Ladies' events, Emma O'Toole also achieved first place in the long jump. Edel Hayden took second in the High Jump and Lisa Lawlor gained a new personal best in the Shot Putt.
