Michelle and Shannon selected to represent Leinster

CONGRATULATIONS to Garryhill girls Michelle Nolan and Shannon Byrne who have been selected to represent Leinster in the Interprovincial team of ten competition which will be played in Kingscourt on Saturday 20th Feb. at 12 noon Michelle and Shannon will play in the under 14 section and we send them our best wishes when they will travel to play for their province.
LEINSTER CHAMPIONSHIPS
In the Master Singles John Ryan had a baptism of fire when played Michael Ducksy Walsh of Kilkenny the current All Ireland and World Masters Champion in the first game Ducksy turned on the style and won 21-10 and the second was no different even though John tried his best to stem the tide he had no answer to the kill shots from a player who is odds on favourite to win the Masters title in 2010, the Kilkenny man won the second game 21-8.
In the EMAD John Rossiter and Andy Ryan travelled to Ballymore Eustace on Saturday to play Billy Mullins and Jim Guilfoyle from Offaly, Mullins and Guilfoyle are the 2009 All Ireland Champions and they showed why on Saturday when they completely outplayed the Carlow lads in the first game Offaly won 21-9 and in the second game Ryan and Rossiter improved their play but could not come to grips with the excellent play of the stylish Mullins.

Shannon Byrne and Damien Jordan from Garryhill have been selected to represent Carlow where they will play Wicklow and Kilkenny next Sunday and the winners will play in National Finals in two weeks' time.
