DAN O'LEARY, fresh from his Carlow Senior Colleges success last week, travelled to Wexford to play in the final of Wexford Winter league again he met his fellow county man Martin Mullins.

If last week's game was a epic this match did not disappoint the crowd either Mullins as he did last week took the first game 21-17 in the second game Mullins was in one ace of securing victory but O'Leary fought back and won the game 21-20 and in the tie breaker the stronger O'Leary came out best on a score line of 11-7. Well done to both players on reaching the final as they came through some very hard matches to get there.

In Division 8 Garryhill man Kevin Rossiter was pipped at the post by Wexford man Tommy Hardy in a tie breaker in the first game Kevin won 21-16 he lost the second 17-21 and the third game 11-7 this is a great achievement for Kevin as he has just taken up handball in the last two years.

In the Golden Masters John Rossiter who has been playing some very good handball of late came up against Benny Doyle from Wexford in this final, John never reached the high standards of his previous matches and lost out on a score of 21-12 21-14.

The senior final produced some great handball when Borris player David King played over 35 World Champion Gavin Buggy from Wexford,David lost the first game after a titanic struggle 21-18 he came back strongly in the second game and took the game 21-19 in the tie breaker the fitter Buggy played some great shots to win the match 11-6.

Martin Mullins travelled to Ballina Co Tipperary on Sunday to play in the delayed Junior singles college final there he came up against the current All Ireland u14 60x30 champion Padraic Quish from Limerick.Padraic specializes in the traditional 60x30 game and proved to strong for Martin who prefers the international 40x20 game.

The curtain comes down on the 2009 championships when the semi finals and final of the Duffy cup will be played this week.
