Three teams still in contention for semi-final place

Tuesday September 07 2010

BOTH BALLINKILLEN and Erin's Own supporters went home a good deal happier when the final whistle blew in the second game, the gloom after the result of the first game lifted as the gauntlet was thrown down. Not for a long number of years has it taken the last two games and three teams in contention for a semi final place and better still the teams have it in their own power to go forward or not, they don't have to depend on other results only their own. Naomh Eoin supporters went home disappointed for the past couple of years have also been struggling to get a semi final place and they will be disappointed with their performance also.

Sundays games are a straight knock out between Ballinkillen and Naomh Eoin. If Naomh Eoin win they are in, If Ballinkillen win they will have to see will Erin's Own defeat Mount Leinster Rangers, that game is a repeat of last years county final.

If Erin's Own and Ballinkillen were to win, it will then go to scoring difference, as the scenario of who won the last game between the sides can't be used as both teams drew at 0-9 each.
