Kildavin / Clonegal: Kildavin / Clonegal GAA Club will hold a Monster Auction on Sunday September 26th at 2.00 p.m. in Spellman Park Complex, Kildavin. The auction is the Club's main fundraiser this year and we hope will be well supported by not only those looking for a good deal but also by people who wish to donate saleable items for the event.
The auction will have everything from a needle to an anchor for the, would be bargain hunter. So we would ask you to search that attic, raid that garage or clean out that press for what potentially might yield some revenue. Remember it is all for the local club, the bedrock of our community. Ballinkillen
Ballinkillen Hurling Club is holding a race night on Friday the 10th of September at Kilkenny Race Track. Admission costs €10.00, this includes entry, race card and some great prizes. If you want to 'Go to the Dogs' don't hesitate to join us on the night.
St. Patrick's
St. Patrick's Junior footballers have qualified for the Junior "A" final, following a deserved 36 to 0-11 victory over Kildavin on Friday last in Dr. Cullen Park .They will now go forward to meet the winners of Myshall/Palatine semi final at a venue, time and date yet to be finalised. The senior footballers are waiting to find out who their opponents will be for the relegation play-off games,to determine which team will be demoted to intermediate level for 2011.
St. Pat's hurlers will take part in the All-Ireland Junior seven-a-side tournament at the St. Jude's club, Templeogue on Saturday next. They will play the concluding round of the Intermediate championship against Erin's Own on the weekend of Sept. 10th.
