ST. PATRICK'S GAA: The draws for the 2010 championship at a recent Co. Board meeting were made.. In the senior championship St. Patrick's were drawn in a group with Rathvilly, Palatine, O'Hanrahans, Fenagh and Kilbride.

The Tullow side will open their campaign with a match against Kilbride. St. Pat's will play the Blues in the preliminary round of the Junior Championship with the winners meeting Éire Óg in the quarter final. Slaney Rangers will meet O'Hanrahans in the opening round of the under 21 B Championship.

The Slaney Rangers minor side will play in the Minor A championship this year and will take on Tinryland in their first group game. Dates, venues and times of these matches have not yet been fixed but will be published as soon as they are finalised.

ASCA CLG

Lotto: Two match 3's last week with Anna Downes and Sharon O'Brien collecting ¤31 each, while Shay Doorley was the sole match 3 punter the previous week. Tickets at ¤2 available from the usual outlets.

SFL Div 2: First game in the League is fixed for Sunday March 21 away to St. Andrews at 5.30 p.m.

Juvenile Coaching: Continues each Saturday morning from 10.15 to 11.45 a.m. in the Presentation College gym. Parents and guardians please note times.

KILBRIDE GFC

Officials and playing Members of Kilbride G F C would like to send congratulations to Mr. Mick Nolan who celebrated his 102 birthday recently. Mick now living in Kilkenny City is originally from Kilbride and is the only surviving founder member of the club in 1927. In the late 1920's there was no sporting outlets for the youth of the area and he and a few others came together to form the club.

He won a junior football championship medal in 1930 followed with Feis Cup wins 1933,1934 and 1935 when they won the Feis Cup outright. The highlight of his playing career came in 1935 when the cub won the Senior Football Championship.

Mick celebrated his 100th birthday in 2008 with the club making a presentation to him of a framed Kilbride jersey.

The club wishes Mick and his Wife many more years of good health and happiness.

GRANGE

Training continues during the week for intermediate, junior u21 and minor players as matches start shortly.

First match sees the Fighting Cocks visit Grange on March 21 to play in SFL div.2 and ten days later 31-310 Grange travel to Clonmore to play in SFL Div.4 their first outing.We will Keep you informed especially at training. Membership due.No winner of the lotto.

St. Anne's Ladies: The first Minor outing of the season proved to be successful for the girls. They met a very spirited Baile Ceatharlach side on the Blues pitch on Sunday evening. Both these teams were evenly matched and the game could have gone either way. St Anne's shaded it by one point in the end. Final score was 2-8 to 3-4. Best for St Anne's were Shannon Treacey, Siobhan Corrigan, Denise Kealy, Rachel Savage, Melissa Coughlan and Aine Ryan.
