Fears grow for safety of missing Mary

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING to the public for help in the search for a missing Carlow woman who hasn't been seen by family or friends in a week. 42-year-old Mary Ryder was last seen in Carlow town at 2.30 p. m last Tuesday, March 2. Gardaí this week said they are growing increasingly concerned about her well-being.

CARLOW HOPEFUL Kathleen O'Rourke didn't manage to get her hands an Oscar at the glitzy ceremony on Sunday. The Ballyhide woman was beaten to the podium for best animated short film by 'Logorama' by Nicolas Schmerkin a little comedy about a world that was taken over by logos and is centred around a world taken over by corporations.

A CARLOW FAMILY had a bonanza straight out of an episode of 'Only Fools and Horses' last week when an antique Chinese vase that was auctioned with a guide price of just €150 ended up selling for a whopping €110,000.
