Walkers wanted for Rehab event
PARTICIPANTS ARE needed for the annual Rehab fundraising walk by Aiden Roche which takes place in Westport, Co. Mayo on May 17 to May 19. The annual walk is a highlight on the calendars of many local walkers who have participated over the years. The three day event takes in Westport and offers the chance to explore new walking routes with breath-taking scenery.
All of the proceeds go to Rehabcare recourse centre, Regent House, William Street in Kilkenny. Rehabcare provides a wide range of highquality person-centred services. Officially opened in late 2009, Regent House on William Street provides a resource and day service offering programmes such as independent living and community integration for 31 people. The centre also provides supported accommodation to seven people who have a mild disability.
