MEMBERS OF the Graiguenamanagh Historical Society took time out last week to enjoy a highly informative and interesting tour of Leinster House.

The trip, which was organised by Joan Murphy and sponsored by Deputy Bobby Aylward, saw the group being brought on a very interesting and informative tour around Leinster House, including both a visit to the Dail and Senate chambers whilst they were in session.

Afterwards the group were greeted by John McGuinness T.D., Minister of State, Joan Burton T.D., Senator John Paul Phelan, Liam Aylward M.E.P. and they were also introduced to a number of prominent T.D.s

The highlight of the evening for the Historical Society was their personal introduction by Deputy Bobby Aylward to the newly elected Taoiseach, Brain Cowan.

The visit ended for the group with a very enjoyable meal in Leinster House.
