Placed on probation
A THORNHILL man was given the benefit of the probation act when he appeared before Judge David Anderson at last week's sitting of Carlow District Court.
Eoin Shortt ( 23), 11 Thornhill View, Bray was charged with the unlawful possession of drugs at Tullow Street on July 24, 2011.
He pleaded guilty to the charge and the court heard Shortt was found in possession of €20 of Tfmpp. The court heard he had no previous convictions and had cooperated with gardai.
Acting for Shortt solicitor Joe Farrell Shortt was not a drug user but had been in company and someone had given him the drugs.
Judge David Anderson gave him the benefit of the probation act.
