Motoring case is struck out

A BAGENALSTOWN man who had paid € 300 had the case against him struck out at last week's sitting of Carlow District Court.

Shane Mcgrath (23), 72, Fr. Cummins Park, Bagenalstown was charged with holding a mobile phone while driving at Kilree Street on March 23, 2011.

Evidence in the case had been heard previously and the case had been adjourned to allow Mcgrath pay €300.

On hearing the money was paid Judge David Anderson struck out the charge.
