FAIRIES AND robots, kittens and birds of paradise all graced the stage for the very first time recently when the Rathvilly Ballet School staged their first production.
The children, aged from just four years to ten, absolutely charmed the audience in Fatima Hall, Baltinglass, as they pirouetted and danced gracefully in their adorable costumes.
The show was the brain child Cécilia Travers, who wrote the story of Lilli's Dream, as well as choreographing and designing the entire production.
'For most of the children, it was their first ballet performance,' Cécilia said. 'It was a great success, I'm really delighted with it.'
Cécilia, who is a native of Paris, set up Rathvilly Ballet school in January and since then has attracted more and more young dancers into her fold.
Lilli's Dream featured 25 young ballerinas with Cécilia's own son, Senan, starring as a robot, being blessed among the women.
