Eco tips at the council
THERE WILL be a free workshop -- An Introduction to Sustainable living: Eco Tips for Communities -- in Carlow County Council on February 29 at 6.30pm.
Waste minimisation, biodiversity are areas of importance within Tidy Towns applications. Communities can improve organic waste management through simple composting techniques such as making leaf mould piles or setting up a small compost unit for roadside grass, weeds from flower beds and dead flowers. Communities can also learn about conserving water through water plans, leaf moulds and water butts enhance local biodiversity.
