A LUCKY Tullow couple will be attending all Ireland's soccer matches in the new Aviva Stadium for free for the coming season. Veronica Ronan was the lucky winner of Parkville Soccer Club's fundraising draw and she received two season tickets for the new Lansdowne Road stadium, with the first match the upcoming clash with Argentina.

Her husband Conor dropped down to The Tara Arms on Saturday night to collect the tickets. The Crosslow couple's son Aaron plays with Parkville.

Another draw held on the night was to decide what lucky youngster gets to represent Parkville on the pitch before the big game against Argentina. It was open to the parents of juvenile players who sold five tickets or more.

That prize went to Jamie Byrne from Crosslow, whose mother Geraldine is Secretary of the club. Geraldine took over from Matt O'Reilly, who was honoured on Saturday night for his 25 years of dedicated service as Secretary of Parkville.

The Tullow soccer club paid the FAI €24,000 for the two tickets, which are valid for the next ten years at the Aviva Stadium. They plan to hold a draw before the start of each season to give people the chance of winning them for a year's worth of international football action.
