Scouts honours
This was the culmination of much hard work and dedication by the three Senior Scouts concerned and they are to be congratulated on their achievement and commitment.
Officers from Order of Malta presented First Aid Certificates to Troop members who completed a First Aid Course earlier in the year. After the ceremony the Troop members, family members and Special Guests then paraded to the Mcgrath Hall where a surprise party was held to honour the Troops two recent Gold Gaisce recipients, Jennifer Holligan and Fiona O'halloran.
The Investiture ceremony and celebrations were a great success and were the culmination of much hard work on the part of so many members of the Troop community. The 1st Bagenalstown Baden Powell Scout Troop wishes to thank Rev. Charles, Rev. Helen, Fr. Declan and everyone concerned with St. Mary's Church for their courtesy, kindness and cooperation in connection with the ceremony.
The Troop would like to thank the Senior Scouts, Parents, Committee Members and Leaders who assisted with the catering and logistics and those who generously donated food items for the celebration. Many thanks also to the Civil Defence, The Order of Malta, Carlow V.E.C., Carlow County Council, Muine Bheag Community Centre, the Presentation / De La Salle College, Connolly's Topline Hardware, the Buzz newsletter and everyone who assisted in any way with this wonderful Troop and community event.
