COFFEE MORNING

Coffee Morning in Parish Centre on Thursday, September 17 was a huge success. Funds raised realised, ¤750, and go towards the Hospice for Carlow project.

Alcoholics Anonymous is holding an open Public Meeting on Saturday, September 26 in the Talbot Hotel, Carlow at 8pm, All welcome.

AFTER MASS COFFEE

To enhance our monthly Sunday after-Mass coffee, we are inviting different groups in our Parish to come along and showcase their various social or other activities.

It's an ideal way of letting people know what's happening on their own door step.

Any interested groups should leave their name and contact number into the Parish Centre.

SCOUT GROUP

Cubs and Beavers of Carlow Leighlinbridge Scout Group will be starting back on Tuesday, September 22 in the Old School Hall, Leighlinbridge at the usual times. Parents of new Beavers will be contacted regarding their child's start date. New Scout section will be starting up on Monday, October 5, 7.30-8.30pm in Community Hall, Old Leighlin. The AGM has been set for Thursday, October 15 in Parish Centre Leighlinbridge at 8pm. All parents please make an effort to support us this year by attending as no parents turned up last year, which was a disappointment to all volunteer scout leaders involved.

Health & Fitness course organised by County Carlow Women's Network in conjunction with Carlow local Sports Partnership, in Ballinabranna GAA Club for eight Monday nights, starting on Monday, September 21, from 89.30pm, cost ¤20. GOLF CLASSIC

Leighlinbridge GFC will hold their annual Golf Classic for the Jim Harkins Perpetual Trophy in Killerig Golf Club on Sunday, October 18. A 4 person scramble costing ¤160 per team including a burger at the 10th Tee-off. Tee-off times between 11am and 1.30pm. Prizes for GUI and non-GUI teams. Contact Pat on 0868120929. All welcome.
