Enterprise finals

Tuesday March 09 2010

Congratulations to the Transition Years from Presentation College who were successful in the Carlow County Enterprise finals. The competition was held in Carlow Institute of Technology with over thirty mini-companies from schools across the county displaying their various products.

The Paper Heat team of Lee Travers, Eoin Farrell, Mark Deane, Roy Byrne, Dale Amond and Jordan Illowski won best Environmental product for their paper bricquettes.

But the high point of the day for Presentation College Carlow came when 'Rap-It' scooped the overall winners prize. Stephen O'Callaghan, Manager of 'Rap-It', devised an innovative pocket sized product which keeps earphones tangle free when not in use. Stephen and his fellow team mates of Paul Farrell, Paul Heffernan, Michael Stapleton and Hugo Hughes-Doherty, accompanied by their teacher Ms. Christine O'Sullivan, will now go on to represent Carlow in the National Finals in Croke Park in April. Best of luck boys!
