Christmas magic in Rathvilly
THE MAGICAL tastes, smells and sights of Christmas filled Lisnavagh House in Rathvilly on Thursday and Friday at the Bunburys' annual festive fair.
Market sellers got together to peddle their wares at the Christmas fair which proves a popular date in the festive calendar each year.
Proceeds over the two days are in aid of the Irish Guide Dogs Association and people gathered for morning coffee, lunch, and afternoon tea.
It was the perfect place to pick up Christmas presents for loved ones as there was plenty to chose from: hats and jewellery, childrens clothes, paintings, home accessories, stocking fillers and beauty products.
Stands on the day included everything from bread boards to vintage silver, silks, and Carlow cheese. Bunbury boards were on sale including carving boards and toasters, carved toys, country clothing, skincare, dinner decorative candles, antique silver and jewellery, locally made cheese, Christmas cards in aid of the injured jockeys fund and a stall for the Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Portrait artist Philippa Dacres Dixon was on hand also for a creative keep sake.
'It all went really well.' said a pleased Emily Bunbury.
