The rowing club were in Carlow recently for the Carlow Rowing Club Head of River. The club did extremely well with Jim Ryan winning the men's single scull in great style, while the women's Junior 16 of Nora Murphy, Jessica Coady, Carrie Nolan and Danielle Ryan, coxed by Jenna Joyce, also won their category leaving a couple of handy Carlow crews in their wake. These were very good results for the club and bode well for the season ahead.
The next race will be at Iniscarra Lakes in Cork on Saturday, April 11. The club is now recruiting new members and now is the time for anyone to join if they would like to be part of the crew and racing by the summer.
